2024 - 2029 Master Plan
The Lafourche Basin Levee District has a unique role and responsibility to residents of the five Parishes within its jurisdiction. Its ultimate duty is to provide and maintain flood protection to these residents, while serving as a regional flood protection leader and partner to federal and state agencies, managing complex projects on behalf of its member Parishes. LBLD celebrates the rich history and accomplishments of the past 132 years while planning for and adapting to changing challenges of the future and present.
This Strategic Master Plan will serve as a guiding document for its future, laying out goals and objectives and identifying priorities to best meet the future.

PARTNERS FOR PROGRESS
Lafourche Basin Conservation Levee Lafourche Basin Conservation Levee Donaldsonville and the St. Charles and Drainage District (LBCLDD) and Drainage District (LBCLDD) is the Parish/Jefferson boundary regional levee district spanning:

Since the origination of the State of Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority and the CoastalMaster Plan, LBCLDD, working with the North Lafourche Conservation, Leveeand Drainage District (NLCLDD), LBCLDD is responsible for maintenance has also been one of the primary and operations of the west bank advocates for the Upper Barataria Upper BaratariaMississippi River levee system between Risk Reduction Project (UBRR)
